Mr. Hasanuz Zaman ...for the petitioner Mr. Soumitra Bandyopadhyay Mr. Priyobrata Batabyal ....for the State Report filed by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State-respondents is taken on record. The grievance of the petitioner is that the Staterespondents have encroached upon a portion of the plot owned and occupied by the petitioner for the purpose of widening of the road. The petitioner submitted a representation before the authority in this regard which is pending.

Placing reliance on the report submitted by the Executive Engineer, South 24-Parganas Highway Division, P.W.(Roads) it is submitted on behalf of the Staterespondents that the road widening work in front of the petitioner's plot and the entire Bhangonkhali Mouza has been suspended and proposal for direct purchase of the required land to facilitate the road widening work has been forwarded to the District Magistrate and Collector, South 24-Parganas on January 13, 2022. It is undertaken by the State-respondents that the PWD shall not take up any

road construction activity beyond Government land boundary.

In view of the same, nothing further remains for adjudication in the present writ petition.

Accordingly this writ petition being WPA No. 3024 of 2022 is disposed of.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
