None appears on behalf of the private respondents despite service.

The grievance of the petitioner is directed against inaction of the WBSEDCL to provide a separate electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner.

On behalf of WBSEDCL, it is submitted that though they have installed an electric pole, the respondent is causing hindrance and obstruction in drawing any electricity connection. In view of the above, WPA 3314 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to install the above electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner after compliance with all statutory formalities and payment of necessary fees.

Liberty is granted to WBSEDCL to avail of police assistance, if the circumstances so warrant. The cost of any kind of police assistance would be borne by the petitioner exclusively.

The above exercise would be completed within a period of two weeks from date.
