(Through Video Conference) Mr. Pappu Adhikari ... for the petitioner Petitioner seeks the certified copy of Deed of Conveyance dated July 23, 1990.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, the stamp paper on which the document was presented for registration is suspected to be forged.

In such circumstances, interest of justice would be subserved by requiring the petitioner to put in the money equivalent to the stamp paper in respect of the Deed presented for registration with the authorities. In the event such money is deposited, the authorities will issue certified copy of the Deed of Conveyance dated July 23, 1990 to the petitioner. It would, however, be open to the authorities to proceed against the petitioner in the event the authorities are of the view that, the petitioner is guilty of the forgery in respect of the stamp paper. WPA 3752 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly.
