And In Re : Tarik Anwar ...... petitioner Mr. Amit Roy ....for the petitioner Mr. Saibal Bapuli Ms. Sayanti Santra ....for the State The victim in his statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure squarely implicates the petitioner in the crime of kidnapping as also making a demand for ransom.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner as appearing from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 612 of 2023 is dismissed.
