The grievance of the petitioner is directed against a dispute pertaining to failure of respondent authorities to install a new electric meter and provide an electric connection to the premises of the petitioner. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is carrying on a club at the said premises.

Advocate for the Distribution Company being the respondent No.1, is represented and submits that the petitioner has failed to comply with all the necessary formalities demanded from the petitioner. He relies on a communication dated 22nd September, 2020 written by the respondent No.1 to the petitioner. He submits that

the formal inspection had taken place. But the petitioner has failed to take any steps to comply with the mandatory requirements. He also submits that a Misc. Case is pending before the B.L. & L.R.O., Amta and no final adjudication has been taken till date.

I am of the view that since the petitioner has failed to comply with the necessary formalities there is no scope of passing any order in favour of the petitioner. The petitioner is directed to comply with all necessary formalities and inform the respondent No.1 of the same.

Liberty is granted to the respondent No.1 to take all steps in accordance with law, in case the petitioner complies with all the necessary formalities.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA 3766 of 2021 stands dismissed.

However, there will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
