Though the challenge is made to the order dated 18th November 2021 but in effect, the present writ petition is taken out for expeditious disposal of the application for addition of party as well as the tribunal application pending since 2015.

A preliminary objection is taken by the respondent no. 6 that he is not arraigned as party in the tribunal application but has been added at the behest of the petitioners herein.

At the very outset, we must record that there was no occasion to implead the respondent no. 6 in the instant writ petition, as he has not been added as yet. However, the application for addition of party should not have been kept pending for such a long time as it has an impact on delaying the disposal of the tribunal application finally. The next date appears to have been fixed on 11th August 2022 and an apprehension is shown that even on the said date the said application may not be disposed of.

Considering the pendency of the original

application and that the application for addition of party is pending, the instant writ petition is disposed of requesting the learned Members of the First Bench, West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal to prepone the date for hearing of the said application for addition of party being MA 52 of 2021 within fifteen days from the date of the communication of this order and efforts shall be shown to dispose of the same within two weeks therefrom.

We hope and trust that the tribunal would thereafter dispose of the main application, which is pending since 2015, within six months therefrom in accordance with law.
