The petitioners are TET 2014 qualified candidates. They appeared in the recruitment process initiated by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education in the year 2016.

Their grievances are that no call letter/interview letter was issued in their favour till date.

After the recruitment process was initiated afresh by the Board in the year 2020, the petitioners filed the instant writ petition on 18th February, 2022. Learned advocate appearing for the Board submits that the recruitment process in the year 2016 was concluded long back and thereafter fresh recruitment process was initiated and the same is also nearing completion.

It appears from the submission made on behalf of the petitioners that they have approached this Court

after a long delay. The recruitment process of 2016 has been concluded long back. The same cannot be reopened at the instance of the petitioners, that too, at such a delayed date.

There is no scope for directing the Board to reconsider of the prayer of the petitioners.

The writ petition is barred by inordinate unexplained delay on the part of the petitioners. In view of the above, no relief can be granted in favour of the petitioners in the present writ petition. The same accordingly, stands dismissed.
