Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the parties.

Grievance of the petitioner is petitioner was not selected for being inducted as Teacher-in-Charge of Metropolitan Institution, Kolkata (hereinafter referred to as 'said school').

Learned advocate representing the petitioner has strenuously argued that since petitioner is a better qualified candidate than the selected candidate and having teaching experience of greater length than the other candidates, should have been straightway
selected for being inducted as Teacher-in-Charge of the said school.

During course of hearing learned advocate representing the said school authority has placed before this Court one letter dated 28th March, 2024 and same is taken on record.

On perusal of the letter dated 28th March, 2024 signed by the petitioner it transpires that petitioner decided to withdraw his candidature from the selection process for filling up the post of Teacher-inCharge in the said school. 6.
In view of this letter dated 28th March, 2024 of the petitioner no relief can be granted relating to petitioner's desire to be selected for the post of Teacher-in-Charge of the said school.

Hence, writ petition stands dismissed.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
