The writ petitioners participated in the process of selection to the post of ASHA karmee in various Gram Panchayats in the district of Murshidabad. They submit that despite participation they have not been intimated of their fate.

Learned counsel for the State submits that each of the petitioners has been selected and approved by the concerned Block Medical Officer and the Sabhapati of the respective Panchayat Samity.

The relevant documents have been produced before this court to indicate that Sukrana Bibi has been approved for Gurah Gram Samsad, Sulekha Khatoon for Natungram Gram Samsad, Nasima Khatoon for Nimgram Gram Samsad and Basanti Mondal for Ramchandrapur Gram Samsad. All the aforesaid appointments are under the respondent no.8 herein. In the above circumstances, the respondent nos.2 & 3 herein shall issue orders of appointment to the petitioners as expeditiously as possible but not later than a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Learned counsel for the petitioners shall put in the deficit court fees by tomorrow. In default of putting in such deficit court fees, the writ petition shall stand automatically dismissed and order passed today shall stand vacated.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

The instructions and documents as regards the selection process furnished by the State-respondents be kept with the record.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking. (Rajasekhar Mantha, J.)
