Affidavit-of-service is taken on record.

The petitioner had been awarded a contract for extension work on the first floor of the common facility centre at Manichak Block Premises under MPS, Malda. The work was to be completed within 90 days. According to the petitioner, the work was satisfactorily completed, but the remaining amount of Rs.3,04,389/- including the security deposit has not been paid.

However, no completion certificate or documents indicating that the authorities were satisfied with the work of the petitioner have been annexed to the writ petition. Thus, the Court is not in a position to decide the issue.

The Block Development Officer, Manikchak Development Block, Malda, who is the Executive Officer of

Manikchak Panchayat Samiti, Malda shall intimate the petitioner as to whether any amount is still outstanding and payable to the petitioner or not.

Such decision shall be intimated to the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order.

A copy of the writ petition along with a server copy of this order be served upon the Block Development Officer, Manikchak Development Block, Malda.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
