Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the other co-accuseds were granted anticipatory bail. He highlights the delay in the lodgment of the First Information Report. Learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that the petitioner is the husband of the victim. He refers to the statement recorded under Section 161 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the victim.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 903 of 2022, is rejected.
