The application has been filed by the wife for transfer of Matrimonial Suit No.2735 of 2023, which is pending before the learned Additional District Judge, 16th Court at Alipore, South 24-Parganas, to any competent court within the jurisdiction of the learned District Judgeship of Barasat, North 24-Parganas. The petitioner resides at Nabapally, Barasat. The ground for transfer is distance and that other proceedings are pending before the court within the jurisdiction of Barasat. The distance between Alipore court and Barasat court is around 30-35 kms. I do not find any reason to transfer the said suit. The distance can be covered by bus, train, car, within an hour.

Accordingly, the application is disposed of without interference.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
