Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the police filed charge sheet and, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required. He highlights the period of detention of the petitioner. He submits that the petitioner sought to be proceeded against on the basis of the circumstantial evidence, if at all.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that there are call details recording of the mobile phone of the petitioner with that of one of the co-accused who is implicated as well as the deceased wife.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (DB) 526 of 2022 is dismissed.
