C.A.N.4342 of 2020 is disposed of by taking up writ petition for consideration.
Petitioner seeks electric connection.
Learned advocate appearing for the C.E.S.C. Limited submits that on the receipt of the application for connection, the CESC authority inspected the premises. On inspection CESC authority found that the petitioner enjoyed a power supply in 2009 and that, such supply got disconnected due to non payment of revenue. Petitioner thereafter, continued to enjoy electricity supply from the meter of his brother. In the event electric connection is given to them, there will be a case of split load.
Learned advocate for the C.E.S.C authority submits that, the outstanding in the previous meter is Rs.15,312/-.
Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and his brother are no longer in the best of term and therefore, the petitioner requires new electric connection. He submits that the petitioner will pay all outstanding dues.
In such circumstances, CESC authority will provide new electricity connection to the petitioner within a fortnight from date of the petitioner complying with all requisite formalities and paying the charges for the new connection as well as paying the arrears in respect of the old meter.
WPA 2459 of 2020 is disposed of.
