The petitioner renews his prayer for bail on the ground of slow progress of trial.

Heard learned counsels for the parties.

Bail prayer made by the petitioner was turned down by this Court on October 16, 2023 on merits.

This Court is informed that the charges have been framed but witness action is yet to commence. Considering the material available before this Court, this Court is not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

However, considering the period of detention of the petitioner, learned trial Court is directed to take the proceedings to its logical conclusion as expeditiously as possible, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either party, in accordance with law.

The application is disposed of.
