Dist. & Sessions Judge, Alipore in connection with Case No. 556 of 2022, which was by way of an appeal being Criminal Appeal no. 21 of 2023. The records of the case reflect that the hearing of the said appeal is still pending and the date has been fixed by the ld. Appellate Court on 12th of March, 2024. The appeal has been transferred to the court of ld. District and Sessions Judge, 18th Court, Alipore, South 24 Parganas.

Having considered that the appeal is pending for a considerable period of time, I direct the ld. Appellate Court to dispose of the appeal within sixty days of the next date so fixed i.e. 12.3.2024. The ld. Appellate Court would fix as many dates, as required, but will not stretch the timeline fixed by this court.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 575 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
