The delay of trial was attributable to the petitioner as he was absconding for almost seven years. We have sufficient reason to believe that if the petitioner is allowed to release on bail, he shall abscond.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, the petitioner's prayer for bail is, thus, rejected. The application for bail, being CRM 1460 of 2021, is disposed of.
