Re : An application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India. Mr. Dhananjay Banerjee Ms. Oindrila Ghosh ....for the petitioner.

The revisional application has been preferred challenging the continuance of Haripal P. S. Case No. 262 of 2020 dated 06.03.2020 under Sections 341/325/354/504/506/34 IPC pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandernagore, Hooghly. On conclusion of investigation, chargesheet was submitted before the jurisdictional court.

The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mrs. Debjani Sahu, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. Her appointment may be regularized by the concerned Authorities in due course.

The petitioner presently prays for expediting the trial of the case. On perusal of the chargesheet, which reflects that at the relevant point of time when the revisional application was preferred

only the petitioner was granted bail and rest of the accused persons were absconding. Till date, the said accused persons are absconding. The learned trial court would expedite the process relating to compelling the appearance of the accused persons. The learned court would after exhausting the process regarding the appearance of all the accused persons, take steps for supply of copies on which the prosecution proposes to rely and proceed with the trial of the case after framing charge against the accused persons. With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 317 of 2021 is disposed of.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. [Tirthankar Ghosh, J]
