Petitioner submits allegation of forgery is unfounded. He has been falsely implicated.
Accordingly, he prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the materials on record. It is alleged petitioner had forged the signature of the Prodhan for updating Aadhaar Card. The document was placed before the Prodhan who lodged complaint. Nothing is placed on record to show that the forged document had been acted upon. Document is in the control and custody of the investigating agency. Custodial interrogation of the petitioner for progress of investigation is not necessary.

Hence, we are inclined to grant bail to the petitioner subject to conditions.

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner viz., Faruk Mondal @ Faruk Mandal be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/-, with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the BNSS and petitioner shall cooperate with the investigation and hand over his signature and hand writing for verification, if necessary and on further condition petitioner while on bail shall meet the Investigating Officer once in a week until further orders. He shall appear before the jurisdictional court and pray for regular bail within four weeks from date. 6.
