1. Let affidavit-of-service, as filed in Court, be kept on record.

2. In spite of service, none appears on behalf of the school authorities.

3. The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher in a high school. He applied for general transfer on the ground of distance, sometime in 2022. This application was made in the online mode. As a long period of time has lapsed since the application was made and surrounding circumstances may have changed, the petitioner is directed to make a fresh application for transfer with the school authorities by April 15, 2026.

4. School authorities will consider the same and forward the application along with the 'NOC', if the petitioner is otherwise eligible for transfer, to the concerned D.I. by April 30, 2026.

5. Concerned D.I. will consider the application of the petitioner and dispose of the same by May 20, 2026 in accordance with law.

6. Suspension of the 'Utsashree Portal' will not be an impediment for any of the concerned authorities to consider the application for transfer of the petitioner, which shall be made and considered in the offline mode.

7. With the aforestated directions, the writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

8. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on usual undertaking.
