The petitioner is a retired employee of the Chandannagore Municipal Corporation. He is getting his pension. He submits that the revision of pension as granted by the State is yet to be made effective in his case.

He complains that the representation filed by the petitioner in November 2021 requesting release of pension after taking into consideration the revision that has been made is yet to be disposed of.

Learned advocate representing the Chandannagore Municipal Corporation submits that steps have already been taken for issuing the revised ePPO. The same will be communicated to the petitioner shortly.

As it appears that the e-PPO has already been made ready and the same will be forwarded to the petitioner within a very short time, accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Chandannagore Municipal Corporation to take steps for forwarding the revised e-PPO in favour of the petitioner

at the earliest but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order. Payment shall be made to the petitioner in accordance with the revised e-PPO issued. It is expected that necessary payment shall be credited in the bank account of the petitioner at the earliest.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
