Ms. Susmita Chatterjee ... for the CESC The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-supply of an electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner. Pursuant to an earlier direction of Court, CESC Ltd. has filed a Report. A copy of the same is kept with the records.

It appears from the Report that CESC Ltd.

has no objection in granting a separate electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner. None appears on behalf of the private respondent despite service nor is any adjournment prayed for on their behalf.

In view of the Report filed by CESC Ltd., WPA 3492 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing CESC Ltd. to install the electricity connection at the subject premises upon payment of all statutory charges and completion of all formalities. Liberty is granted to the CESC Ltd. to avail of police assistance, if necessary. It is clarified that the payment for any police

assistance is to be exclusively borne by the petitioner.
