Raja Kanojia Mr. Samim Ahammed Ms. Gulsanwara Pervin ....for the applicants Mr. Sanjay Mukherjee ...for the State Information Commission By an order dated December 14, 2022 this Court had directed the State Information Commission to take up the appeal of the petitioners/applicants, if filed within time and dispose of the same within four weeks of filing thereof. This contempt application has been filed against Raja Kanojia/State Information Commissioner since the appeal was not disposed within the stipulated period of time.

Mr. Ahammed, learned counsel appears on behalf of the applicants and submits that now the appeal has been heard and an order passed in his favour requesting the State Public Information Officer (SPIO) to attend the hearing with a compliance report on the next date of hearing, i.e. May 22, 2023. A copy of the order dated April 20, 2023 passed by the State Chief Information Commissioner is handed over in Court and retained with the records.

This Court finds that substantial compliance of the order dated December 14, 2022 has been made by the alleged contemnor.

In such view of the matter CPAN 210 of 2023 is disposed of.
