In re : CRAN 1 of 2024

1. The petitioner was granted bail by an order dated February 16, 2024, passed in CRM (NDPS) 307 of 2024, inter alia, on the conditions that he shall remain within the city of Kolkata and shall report to the S.T.F. Police Station once in a week until further orders.

2. He says that he has been scrupulously adhering to the said conditions. He seeks relaxation of the aforesaid two conditions. He also says that his residence is in Murshidabad and his family resides there whom he would like to meet.

3. The State files a report. Let the same be kept with the records. From the report, we do not find anything adverse against this petitioner.

4. Hence, we are inclined to relax the two conditions of bail. The conditions of bail requiring the petitioner to remain within the city of Kolkata and to report to the S.T.F. Police Station once in a week stand waived. However, the petitioner shall report to the S.T.F. Police Station once every month and shall not leave the territorial limits of the State of West Bengal till the conclusion of the trial or until further orders whichever is earlier. The other conditions of bail will remain unaltered.
