Heard the learned Advocates for the parties.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is the husband of the victim wife. Victim was subjected to torture and committed suicide within four years of marriage. Petitioner does not stand on the same footing with the parents-in-law who have been granted pre-arrest bail.

In view of primary role played by the petitioner in the torture and the nature of crime, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
