The petitioner seeks an electricity connection for his flat in "Parul Apartment," Singur Natun Bazar, District - Hooghly.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) submits that the petitioner has already complied with all requisite formalities and that the electricity connection can be effected within one month from the date of this order. It is further submitted that the connection could not be effected earlier due to obstruction caused by respondent nos. 7 and 8.

In view of the respective submissions, there is no justification for keeping the present writ petition pending.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon WBSEDCL to effect the electricity connection to the petitioner's premises within a period of one month from the date of this order.

While effecting the connection, if any resistance is encountered, WBSEDCL shall be at liberty to seek assistance from the Officer-in-Charge of Singur Police Station. The said Officer shall render all necessary assistance to the officials of WBSEDCL, the cost of which shall be borne by the petitioner.

Accordingly, WPA 3424 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
