The petitioner complains of inaction on the part of the respondents/police authorities in taking steps against the respondent No. 5 who has allegedly threatened the petitioner with dire consequences and has criminally intimidated her.

Learned advocate appearing for the respondents/police authorities hands up to Court a copy of the instructions forwarded to him by the I/C Uttarpara Police Station, wherefrom it appears that on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner, an enquiry had been conducted and after completion of the same, prosecution under Section 126/135(3) of BNSS being Kanaipur B/H NCR No. 47/2025 dated January 25, 2025 has been initiated against the petitioner and his wife.

Having noticed that a prosecution has been initiated under Section 126/135(3) of BNSS against the respondent No. 5 on the basis of the petitioner's complaint, no further order needs to be passed in this writ petition.

WPA 3425 of 2025 is, therefore, disposed of by observing that the respondents/police authorities shall take the case initiated under Section 126/135(3) of BNSS to its logical conclusion, in accordance with law.
