This is an application for direction upon the Trial Court for expeditious disposal of Case No. N-96/2021 under Section 21(C)/29 of the NDPS Act.

The petitioner was arrested on 29th July, 2021. Only on 17th January, 2023 charge was framed. Subsequently, the learned Trial Judge fixed three consecutive dates to examine the witnesses. However, the prosecution failed to produce any witness on the dates fixed.

Under such circumstances, the instant revision is disposed of directing the learned Trial Judge to instruct the learned Special Public Prosecutor, NDPS to produce the witnesses positively on the next dates of hearing. There are only eleven witnesses to be examined by the learned Trial Judge and the learned Trial Judge is requested to

take expeditious step for examination of the said eleven chargesheeted witnesses and thereafter disposal of the above-mentioned case.
