A report in the form of an affidavit is filed by the RTA, Alipore, South 24 Parganas, that is taken on record.

The subject matter of the writ petition relates to issuance of 50 auto rickshaws of permit from the route Chowhati More to Piyarabagan via Dhamaitala.

Pursuant to the vacancy notification dated June 27, 2024, the petitioners have filed 50 applications. Allegedly, all those are not yet considered by the respondent authority.

In the report as above, the RTA, Alipore, South Parganas, has stated that the process of consideration of applications in so far as the vacancy notice dated June 27, 2024, is still going on.

In such circumstances, the Court finds it proper to dispose of the present petition by directing the said respondent RTA, Alipore, South 24 Parganas to consider rest of the petitioner's applications, if any, pending before it till date, in the next Board meeting when convenient. Let the decision of the authority be informed to the petitioners, within one month from its decision.

The writ petition is disposed of.

Since no affidavit is called for in this case, the allegations made in the writ petition, are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

Urgent certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be supplied to the parties, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
