1. It has been brought to the notice of the Court by the learned advocates representing both the parties that a lump sum amount of Rs. 25,000/- as incentive has been paid to the petitioner.

2. Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that as the amount has been paid at a delayed point of time, the same should be accompanied by interest.

3. Learned advocate for the Union of India submits, upon instruction that, interest is not payable.

4. The Chief General Manager, Gun & Shell Factory, Cossipore is directed to intimate the petitioner the specific reason for not paying interest on account of delayed payment of his legitimate dues within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of.

6. Parties to act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
