Significantly, the dues payable by the private respondents are in excess of Rs. 12 crores.

Pursuant to an order dated 05.03.2026 passed by this Court, the State has filed a Report. It appears from the Report that, the District Magistrate, South 24-Parganas has disposed of the pending application under section 14 of SARFAESI. In view of the statutory alternative remedy available to the petitioner and the fact that the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed, WPA 3516 of 2026 stands dismissed.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to file an appropriate application, if so advised, in accordance with law. The respondent State is directed to formally serve all the parties, a copy of the order passed under section 14 of the Act.
