The father of the petitioner was an Assistant Teacher of a primary school under Pandua Circle of the Malda District Primary School Council. He died-in-harness on May 13, 2020. The mother of the petitioner had applied for compassionate appointment but the same was rejected on the ground of overage.

The petitioner is praying that he may be considered for such appointment but he has not approached the concerned authority formally.

Therefore, the prayer of the petitioner for consideration of the said appointment is premature.

WPA 3469 of 2025 is dismissed without any order as to costs.

The petitioner is free to apply for such appointment and if applied, the authority

concerned shall consider the same in accordance with law.
