From the affidavit of service filed in Court today we see that the victim girl has been served with a copy of this application for relaxation of conditions of bail. However, nobody appears for the victim/defacto complainant.

The petitioner was granted bail by a coordinate bench by an order dated February 19, 2024, inter alia, on the condition that he shall not enter the jurisdiction of Rishra Police Station except for the purpose of attending court proceeding and shall provide the address where he shall reside to the I.O as well as the court below and report to the Officer-in-Charge of the concerned Police Station within whose jurisdiction he shall reside once in a week until further orders. 3.

Now, the petitioner prays for relaxation of the condition requiring him to report to the Officer-in-Charge of the concerned Police Station once every week.

From the report filed by the State we find that the petitioner has been complying with the conditions of bail. However, State Advocate says that he has not furnished his current address to the Investigating Officer. The petitioner says that he is now residing at his permanent address in Uttarpara. The petitioner shall furnish such address to the I.O and also to the learned Trial Court if the same has already not been done.

In so far as the condition regarding reporting to the officerin-charge of the concerned Police Station (Uttarpara Police Station) is concerned, it will be sufficient for the petitioner to report to the Officer-in-Charge of that police station once every month until further orders. The other conditions of bail shall remain unaltered. 6.

CRAN 1 of 2024 is, thus, disposed of.
