1. The petitioners seek publication of the result of written test examination to the posts of Anganwadi Workers held on 2nd January, 2011 in Ratua-1 Block under Chanchal Sub-Division in the District of Malda.

2. Admittedly, no interview or viva voce was conducted thereafter.

3. It appears that there were several litigations in respect of the recruitment process in particular and a new Notification issued by the Government, changing the composition of the selection committee.

4. This Court is of the considered view that to publishing result of the written test held in the year 2011 where the process of recruitment was never completed, would amount to reviving a stale recruitment process.

5. Merely appearing for a written test examination for recruitment does not confer any right on any person to compel the State to complete the recruitment process. The delay of more than thirteen years since after the

written test examination would render the same completely irrelevant and infructuous.

6. In those circumstances, no relief can be granted to the writ petitioners in this writ petition. The writ petition shall stand disposed of without any order.

7. There will be no order as to costs.

8. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
