The petitioner is a TET 2014 qualified candidate. She was called for scrutiny/verification and interview/aptitude test conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education on 25th October, 2016. The petitioner asserts that she appeared in the scrutiny/verification and interview/aptitude test but no intimation regarding appointment was issued to her thereafter.

The petitioner again participated in the recruitment process initiated by the Board in the year 2020.

The petitioner submits that she is a trained candidate. As she crossed the age limit for appearing in

the recruitment process initiated in the year 2020, her candidature stood rejected.

It appears that initially when she participated in the year 2016 recruitment process, she could not be empanelled probably because she scored less marks than the last empanelled candidate. By the time the recruitment process was initiated in the year 2020, she crossed the age bar.

As the petitioner became over aged on the date of publication of the recruitment notification, she cannot be granted relaxation of age to participate in the recruitment process. No case has been made out by the petitioner as to why the benefit of age relaxation be given to her.

In view of the above, no relief can be granted in favour of the petitioner in the present writ petition. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent certified photo copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
