For the Petitioners Mr. Rana Mukherjee Mr. Ashok Das ... ...For the State Ld. advocate for the petitioners submits that they have been implicated in connection with the instant case and thereafter arrested. They are in custody for about 47 days. Additionally, it has been submitted that charge-sheet has already been submitted in connection with the instant case and, as such, further continuation of the petitioner in custody is unwarranted and the petitioners would abide by any stringent condition imposed by this court. Ld. advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and draws the attention to the injury report available in the case diary.

I have considered the submissions advanced on behalf of the petitioners and having regard to the period of

detention of the present petitioners, I am inclined to release the petitioners on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioners are Allowed.

Accordingly, the petitioners viz, Jahangir Mastan and Sahana Bibi @ Rupsana Bibi shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the CJM, Tamluk. If on bail, the petitioner no.1 shall meet with the inspector in charge/officer in charge or any officer deputed by the said officer of Tamluk P.S. once a week, till further orders of this court.

Both the petitioners shall make themselves available on the date so fixed before the ld. trial court. Accordingly, CRM(SB) 27 of 2024 is allowed.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
