06.03.2026 Court No.28 Item No.31 ssi CRM (A) 533 of 2026 In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Suraksha Nagarik Sanhita in connection with Ratua Police Station Case No. 148 of 2025 dated 26.02.2025 under Sections 25(8)/25 (1-B) (a)/27/35 of Arms Act and Section 111(1) of BNS, 2023.

And In the matter of: Kayam Reja @ Kayum Rezza .... Petitioner Mr. Atis Kumar Biswas Mr. Amit Singh ...for the petitioner Ms. Sonali Das Mr. Sufi Kamal ...for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. Some arms were seized from a motorbike which was found to be registered in the name of the petitioner. Surprisingly after about 15 days, a raid was held in the petitioner's house and in his absence, some cartridges were allegedly found. Charge sheet has been filed. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. She refers to the statements of the witnesses and the seizure lists.

Considering the above, the other materials available in the case diary and the fact that not only arms were recovered from the petitioner's motorbike, but cartridges were also found at his house, I do not consider this is to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
