Mr. Raghunath Chakraborty Ms. Nandini Chatterjee ...for the petitioner Ms. Subhashree Patel Mr. Aritra Bhattacharya ..for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is praying for transit anticipatory bail. She submits that in 2025, she obtained a job in a company by the name of R.S. Indian Solution at the Salt Lake. The team leader asked her to open a salary account with the Bandhan Bank. Accordingly, she did so. Upon instructions, it is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is not having the debit card for the said account. Even the phone numbers given was not hers. However, on 08.02.2025, she found that the office of the company was under lock and key. After some time, notices were issued to the petitioner from Vadodara Police Station. The petitioner lodged an FIR being Cyber Police Station Case No. 08 dated 06.02.2026 at Barrackpore against four accused. Being a lady, she apprehends that there could be some impediment in seeking legal relief in another State being the State of Gujarat.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State, upon instructions obtained from the Cyber Crime Police Station, Vadodara City, Gujarat, opposes the prayer for transit anticipatory bail. She relies on a bank statements showing that tainted money came into the account of the petitioner in two tranches of Rs. 2.5 lakhs each. The petitioner apparently did not comply with the notice issued under Section 35 (3) of the BNSS.

Considering the above and the fact that the petitioner is a lady, the petitioner shall not be arrested for a period of six weeks from this date.

In the meantime, the petitioner shall be at liberty to obtain necessary relief from the Courts of law in the State of Gujarat including filing an application for anticipatory bail. With these observations and directions, the application for transit anticipatory bail is disposed of.
