1. This intra court appeal has been filed by the writ petitioner challenging the order dated 23.11.2022 in WPA 19765 of 2022 by which the writ petition filed by the appellant for refund of a sum of Rs.121589/- was dismissed.

The appellant sought for industrial electricity service connection at a premises and the respondent Distribution Company submitted a quotation dated 10.10.2009. The total amount demanded as per the quotation was Rs.121589/- towards the service connection charges being Rs.99,773/-, cost of PP Box Rs.3,116/-, security deposit (15 HP) Rs.18,700/-.

The work had substantially progressed. Subsequently, there appears to have been an arrangement between the appellant and the private parties and the connection to be given a different location. Therefore, another quotation was

drawn on 09.01.2014 wherein additional service connection charges of Rs.88,453/- was demanded.

3. It has been specifically mentioned in the said quotation that the additional quotation is issued as per the approval of the appropriate authority vide Memo dated 07.06.2014.

4. In the quotation dated 09.01.2014 there was no separate demand for security deposit or for cost of PP Box and the addition is only for the service connection charges.

5. Therefore, the claim made by the writ petitioner is wholly not sustainable and the learned Single Bench was rightly rejecting the relief sought for.

6. Thus. we find no grounds to interfere with the order passed by the learned Single Bench and the same is dismissed.
