Petitioner has prayed for transfer from his present post of Assistant Teacher in a school to another school. However, petitioner was initially appointed on being selected in 1st State Level Selection Test, 2016 for classes IX & X.

Learned advocate representing West Bengal Central School Service Commission submits that selection process that 1st SLST, 2016 for classes IX & X has been set aside by the Hon'ble Supreme Court vide judgment dated 3rd April, 2025 passed in [State of West Bengal Vs. Baishakhi Bhattacharyya (Chatterjee) & Ors].

In terms of the said judgment dated 3rd April, 2025 petitioner has lost job. Therefore, the question of

transfer in case of service of the petitioner does not arise.

Writ petition stands dismissed.

However, there shall be no order as to costs. 6.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
