Petitioner submits that there was a family dispute. There is delay in lodging First Information Report. Co-accused have been granted anticipatory bail. He prays for similar relief.

Learned Lawyer for the State submits petitioner is the principal accused.

We have considered the materials on record.

Statement of witness shows petitioner hit the victim with iron rod on the leg. As a result he suffered fracture and was hospitalized. In view of the principal role played by the petitioner in the assault causing grievous injury, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected.
