Mr. Goutam Misra Mr. Vaskar Pal ...for the Petitioner Mr. Biswabrata Basu Mallick, AGP Mr. Sayan Ganguly ...for the State In terms of the order dated 4th March, 2025 a supplementary affidavit affirmed on 7th March, 2025 is filed enclosing certain relevant documents and same is taken on record.

On perusal of those documents, it appears that petitioner was initially appointed as Assistant Teacher in Mathematics on 6th December, 2013 and he was granted post graduate scale of pay. However, such appointment was against an additional post for a period of two years. Subsequently, approval memo was issued on 5th September, 2016 by the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), North 24 Parganas, Barasat wherefrom it appears that petitioner was sanctioned post graduate scale of pay considering his academic qualification, that is, M.Sc. in Mathematics.

In addition thereto recommendation memo issued by the Chairman, West Bengal Regional School Service Commission, South-Eastern Region dated 12th November, 2013 also indicates that petitioner was

recommended for being appointed as an Assistant Teacher in Mathematics having honours/PG degree. Therefore, nothing is forthcoming from where it can be demonstrated before this Court today that petitioner is not in receipt of post graduate scale of pay. State respondents are represented by learned advocates.

Since petitioner is in receipt of post graduate scale of pay no further order needs to be passed in this writ petition.

Hence, writ petition stands disposed of.
