Mr. Usof Ali Dewan Ms. Mehedi Masud ... for the petitioner Ms. Suvashree Ghose ... for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against inaction of the WBSEDCL in providing an electricity connection to the petitioner.

On behalf of the petitioner, it is submitted that no steps have been taken despite the application pending for a considerable period. On behalf of WBSEDCL, it is submitted that the petitioner has failed to take any steps for construction of a meter room or a boring pump in terms of the letter dated 18th June, 2024.

In such circumstances, WPA 3554 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the petitioner to take necessary steps in terms of the letter dated 18th June, 2024.

If and when such steps are complied with, the petitioner is directed to intimate WBSEDCL forthwith.

In case of all statutory formalities being complied with and payment of all prescribed fees,

WBSEDCL is directed to act in accordance with law and provide the necessary connection to the petitioner within a period of 12 weeks after completion of all formalities.
