The petitioner alleges that direction passed in the order dated 4th November, 2019 has not been complied with. The petitioner has annexed office order dated 9th April, 2020 which was passed allegedly in compliance of the order dated 4th November, 2019. By the order dated 4th November, 2019 the Court directed the respondents to act in strict compliance of the order dated 12th June, 2018 passed in WP No. 6682 (W) of 2018. The Chief Manager of the Bank passed the order on 9th April, 2020 in compliance of the order passed by this Court. According to the petitioner, the Chief Manager of the Bank is not the appropriate authority to pass such order. No reason has been given by the Chief Manager while passing the order dated 9th April, 2020. I am afraid that the Court sitting in contempt jurisdiction cannot take into consideration the merits of the order dated 9th April, 2020.

It will be open for the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum challenging the order dated 9th April, 2020 passed by the Chief Manager of the Bank, if so advised.

The Contempt application No. 138 of 2021 stands disposed of.
