Khan For the State : Mr. Rana Mukherjee Heard on : 28.07.2025 Judgment on : 28.07.2025 Jay Sengupta, J.:- This is an application, inter alia, challenging an order dated 15.01.2025 passed by the learned Special Judge (POCSO Act) cum Additional Sessions Judge, Kalna in S.C. Special Case no. 34 of 2024. Let a copy of this application be served upon Mr. Rana Mukherjee, learned counsel who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. He is requested to represent the State in this case. His engagement may be regularised in due course.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is an accused in this case. She was granted anticipatory bail by the Sessions Court on 19.11.2024. However, due to miscommunication with the learned advocate, she could not surrender before the learned Court or submit bond. Thereafter, warrant of arrest has been issued against the present petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the application. It appears that for some reason the petitioner failed to surrender before the learned Special Court despite being granted anticipatory bail. In view of the above and in the interest of justice, let the warrant of arrest issued against the petitioner be stayed for a period of four weeks from date.

Within such time, the petitioner shall be at liberty either to pray for extension of time to surrender pursuant to the earlier order of anticipatory bail or directly surrender before the learned Special Court and pray for bail. In case such an application is made, the application shall be considered in accordance with law.

Accordingly, the revisional application being CRR 710 of 2025 stands disposed of.
