Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 181 days and charge sheet having been submitted, further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted.

Learned advocate for the State has produced the case diary and the relevant statement of the witness. Records reflect that the case, till date, has not been committed to the Court of Sessions.

If any accused person is absconding, learned Trial Court would take steps for splitting up of the trial and proceed for committal of the case to the Court of Sessions.

Petitioner would be at liberty to approach this Court after the stage of consideration of charges are over. At this stage, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (M) 463 of 2026 is dismissed.
