Mr. Humayan Reza ....for the Petitioner Mr. Asif Dewan ....for the WBSEDCL Mr. Sourat Nandy ....for the Respondent No. 4 The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the WBSEDCL in providing a fresh electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner.

It is fairly submitted on behalf of the petitioner that they have not made an application in the prescribed format.

On behalf of the WBSEDCL, it is submitted that if an application under the prescribed format and following the statutory Regulations is filed, the same would be considered in accordance with law. In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, WPA 3664 of 2026 stands disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh application for an electricity connection in accordance with law and after complying with all prescribed formalities.

It is made clear that there has been no expression on the merits of the application and the same would be adjudicated by the WBSEDCL in accordance with law.
