1. This contempt application has been filed alleging willful disobedience of the directions issued in WPA(P) 83 of 2023. It appears that subsequently a review application has been filed and certain directions were issued. Nonetheless, the authority has complied with the directions by passing an order on 27.12.2023 under Section 4(C)(v) of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955.

2. Aggrieved by the same, the private parties in the writ petition have filed an appeal before the learned tribunal which has been challenged before the Division Bench of this Court in WPLRT 25 of 2024 which was dismissed by judgment dated 21.02.2024 against which those private persons have preferred an appeal before the Hon'ble Supreme Court in which notices has been issued.

3. In the light of the same, the authority having complied with the order, no contempt would arise in the matter. Hence, the application for contempt is disposed of. (T. S. Sivagnanam) (Chief Justice) (Hiranmay Bhattacharyya, J.)
