Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no prima facie material connecting the petitioner to the crime. Opposing the prayer, learned counsel for the State submits that pursuant to leading statement of the petitioner, his blood stained shirt was recovered from his house, a torn portion of which was recovered from the place of occurrence. The torn portion has matched with the remaining portion of the shirt. The blood stains on the shirt have also matched with that of the offending weapon.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the evidence prima facie connecting the petitioner to the offence, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

Learned counsel for the State submits a report wherefrom it appears that the prosecution proposes to examine four more witnesses.

The learned Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

The application for bail is accordingly disposed of. Case diary be returned.
