Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is a person suffering from disability. He is presently working as an Assistant Professor at the Alipurduar Mahila Mahavidyalaya. He had sought transfer before the DPI to other colleges in the District of Purba Medinipur. Yet, the same has not been responded to. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the DPI submits that if a representation/application in this regard is pending consideration, the same would be considered in accordance with law.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the West Bengal College Service Commission submits that the colleges where transfer has been sought ought to have been made

parties.

It appears that an application seeking transfer in the prescribed format is pending consideration before the DPI. The DPI would obviously in a position to take assistance of the colleges where the petitioner is seeking transfer, if required.

In view of the above, the DPI is directed to decide the application for transfer of the petitioner made before him on 09.01.2025 in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

As affidavits were not called for, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
